To Login to Find It Virginia

  1. You will need to have a library card for a Virginia public library.  If you do not already have a card, please contact your local library for information on how to obtain a card.  List of Virginia Public Libraries.
     

  2. Select the name of your local public library from the list at and enter the barcode number on your library card.  When you enter your barcode number, do not enter any of the spaces. A barcode will look similar to this:   
                                    

  3. When you click on the Submit button you will be taken to the search options for Find It Virginia.

How to Find the Information You Need

Each database provides help screens to assist you in finding information.  All of the help screens are available to you after you log on to the database. Each database has a slightly different interface, but all offer help screens and easy keyword searching.   If you want to learn more about searching the databases before you log in, please read one of the Fact Sheets, Search Tips, or Guides.  You will need to return to http://www.finditva.com/ to select your library and enter you library card number in order to search for and retrieve information.
